Welcome Reception (Friday evening, October 5th) at The Rooms Provincial Museum, Archives and Art Gallery. FREE

Tours: Thursday, October 4th

1. The Cupids Cove Plantation Provincial Historic Site and Cupids Legacy Centre (8am-1pm). $35 US/CDN ($20 for students)

2. The History and Archaeology of Signal Hill National Historic Site (3pm-5pm). FREE

3. The St. John’s Haunted Hike (9:30pm). $10 US/CDN

Tour: Friday, October 5th

Tour of the Colony of Avalon (Ferryland) Archaeology Site, Lab and Interpretation Centre (8:30am-3pm). $35 US/CDN ($20 for students)

Open Vault Workshops: Friday, October 5th

1. Marine Archaeology collections; 17th & 18th c; Trinity Bay and the Avalon Peninsula (10:30-12:30 AM) at The Rooms Provincial Museum (Division). Maximum of 10 participants. $20 US/CDN

2. Inuit Material Culture; 18th & 19th c; European Goods; Rose Island, Labrador (1:00-3:00 PM) at The Rooms Provincial Museum (Division). Maximum of 10 participants. $20 US/CDN

Post-Conference Tour

October 8-9th: to L’Anse aux Meadows (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and Red Bay, Labrador (National Historic Site). Join us for a tour of two of this province’s premier archaeological sites: the 16th-century Basque whaling station in Red Bay and the 11th-century Viking settlement at L’Anse aux Meadows. The cost of this tour includes airfare, bus rental, accommodation (based on double occupancy) and meals. This tour is subject to sufficient enrollment Maximum of 16 participants $1250 US/CDN per person (price is based on 16 participants)
